NYCN Europe unveils dynamic duo to propel youth empowerment

By Ishola Balogun

In a strategic move to amplify the voices and opportunities of Nigerian youth in the diaspora, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Europe chapter has appointed two visionary leaders.

Ambassador Collins Idahosa, Governor of the Council’s Europe chapter, proudly announced the selection of Ambassadors Chikwado Joel Nwafor and Okeowo Samson Oluwatosin as Diaspora Financial Secretary and IT Director, respectively.

Idahosa added that these strategic appointments position NYCN Europe for greater impact, growth, and youth empowerment, inspiring a brighter future for Nigerian youth worldwide.

Nwafor, a trailblazing entrepreneur and CEO of Nwafor Kis-shoes, brings a wealth of expertise in finance, business development, and innovative strategy. His proven track record as NYCN Switzerland’s Financial Secretary will now benefit the entire European chapter.

Oluwatosin, a highly skilled Swiss-trained IT specialist, boasts an impressive portfolio of technological expertise. His appointment will revolutionize NYCN Europe’s digital landscape, enhancing communication, collaboration, and resource accessibility for youth.

“We are confident that these appointments will significantly benefit our youth,” Idahosa stated. “Their expertise will enhance our financial stability, technological capabilities, and overall impact.”

Nwafor pledged to “take the council to the next level,” harnessing his financial acumen to create sustainable initiatives and empower youth-driven projects.

Oluwatosin responded, “I’m deeply humbled by this appointment and grateful for the trust placed in me. As IT Director, I’ll leverage my expertise to develop a robust digital platform for youth engagement and resource sharing; foster collaboration and innovation through technology-driven initiatives; enhance NYCN Europe’s online presence, amplifying youth voices globally.

Together, we’ll create a vibrant ecosystem where Nigerian youth thrive, both at home and abroad,” Oluwatosin  said.
